Hellbranch Meadows Restoration Celebration

Coldwater participated in the celebration of Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District’s wetland restoration project at Hellbranch Meadows. The recently completed Hellbranch Meadows West Wetland Restoration Project built upon previous wetland and stream restoration, adding an additional 11 acres of wetlands and 18 acres of restored wetland buffer. Coldwater’s design resulted in important habitat for wildlife, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and pollinators. A whimbrel stopped by to observe the festivities on May 22 and take advantage of the habitat improvements. Detailed project information is available at Franklin SWCD’s website and here.
