Our services include green infrastructure design, stormwater management, stream and wetland restoration, environmental permitting, watershed planning, grant-writing, and construction support services. Coldwater is currently seeking an engineer/ project manager for our Lorian or Columbus, Ohio office to join our growing team.

Job Responsibilities:
- Scoping, work planning, and completing engineering analysis and products for civil improvement projects, flood mitigation projects, stormwater management systems, stream and wetland restoration, and green infrastructure.
- Act as owner’s agent for the construction of civil construction and restoration projects
- Develop engineering products including detailed calculations, material quantity takeoffs, hydrological and hydraulic analyses, topographic and bathymetric surveys, construction drawings, bid and contract documents, design packages, cost estimates, project schedules, and technical reports
- Develop and/or contribute to the development of work scopes, safety plans, and business development proposals
- Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work, competitive bidding, contracting, and work performance
- Develop engineering-related permitting including local floodplain permits and NPDES permits
- Supervise the performance of field surveys, investigations, construction administration, and resident engineering
- Be proficient at managing project tasks independently (e.g., alternatives analyses and detailed designs), while managing tasks and/or project costs and schedule
- Ability to travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected
- Ability to work outside in heat and cold is expected
- Efficient use of technology to support remote/work from home activities is expected
- Willingness to act sustainably, self-engage, continually learn, and teach is expected
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental or related Engineering field
- Ohio PE license (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Minimum of 5-10 years relevant experience
- Previous engineering design and contract document package experience
- Previous project management experience
- Previous experience interacting with clients
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with annual refreshers
- 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety training
- Contracting and contract management experience
- Diverse client-type experience (e.g., Federal, State, Local, Industrial, Commercial, Energy, University)
- Active in Industry association
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading and terrain management
- Knowledge of GIS applications
Pay: Salary will be commensurate with experience
